_Thom Bishops

ANZAR, THE PRINCE is developed, played and co-written by Thom Bishops.

Thom Bishops acting abilities and his unique heritage make him stand out amongst most actors. A Brooklyn native of Middle Eastern descent, Thom moved to Los Angeles after graduating from New York University. Having always wanted to be an actor, Bishops' passionate hopes became a reality when he met renowned acting teacher Susan Batson. Seeing something in the young star, Batson encouraged Bishops to participate in her advanced classes alongside Harvey Keitel, Nicole Kidman, Juliet Binoche, and Jennifer Connelly. Within months of relocating, Thom quickly booked a short film called "T for Terrorist" opposite Golden Globe and Emmy Award winner Tony Shaloub ("Monk"). Shortly after, he booked his first feature lead role opposite Oscar winners' Robin Williams and Mira Sorvino along with Jim Caviezel in the Sci-Fi thriller "The Final Cut". The film premiered at the Berlin Film Festival and won several awards globally. Bishops' next film was the comedy, "Fanboys", for The Weinstein Company co-starring Kristen Bell, Seth Rogen and Jay Baruchel. He also had a supporting role in "What We Do is Secret", the biopic centering on the LA based iconic punk band, The Germs. The film was selected for the 2007 Los Angeles Film Festival. He also had a supporting role in the dark comedy "Sex and Death 101" opposite Simon Baker and Winona Ryder. Most recently, he filmed the ensemble drama "Dream in American", and the comedy "Peace". "After Marriage" opposite Hiam Abbass (Miral, The Visitor). He also recently shot the lead role in the Jordanian comedy-drama feature entitled "A Seven Hour Difference". On the small screen, Bishops has been featured as a guest star on the top rated shows including NBC's "Law and Order: SVU" and had a notable role on the season finale of Fox's "House M.D." Thom also starred in a clip for Will Ferrell's "Funny or Die", that got several hundred thousand views in the first two weeks of its release, and is currently working on a follow up. In addition to acting on camera, Thom has performed many Off-Broadway plays in New York, most notably "Shadows in the Sun" opposite the late, great stage and screen actress Kim Hunter ("A Streetcar Named Desire") and Marisa Berenson.
