STEVIE is developed, played and co-written by Stefanie Schneider, written by Radha Mitchell and JD Rudometkin.
Stefanie Schneider's scintillating situations take place in the
American West. Situated on the verge of an elusive super-reality, her
photographic sequences provide the ambience for loosely woven story
lines and a cast of phantasmic characters.
Schneider works with the largely uncontrollable chemical mutations of
expired polaroid film stock. Chemical explosions of color spreading
across the surfaces undermine the photograph's commitment to reality
and induce her characters into trance-like dreamscapes. Like flickering
sequences of old road movies Schneider's images seem to evaporate
before conclusions can be made - their ephemeral reality manifesting in
subtle gestures and mysterious motives. Schneider's images refuse to
succumb to reality, they keep alive the confusions of dream, desire,
fact, and fiction.
Stefanie Schneider received her MFA in Communication Design at the
Folkwang Schule Essen, Germany. Her work has been shown at the
Staedtische Ausstellungshalle am Hawerkamp, Muenster, the Kunstallianz,
Berlin, the Institut für Neue Medien, Frankfurt, and the Nassauischer
Kunstverein, Wiesbaden, Kunstverein Bielefeld, Kunstverein
Recklinghausen, Museum für Moderne Kunst Passau.

Daisy's melodies are unique, potent and penetrating. There is a sweetness in the simplicity of her songs, in the vulnerable sincerity of her delivery, and in the ever-so-perfectly placed moments of profound lyrical prowess that cut straight to the heart and the soul and the spirit.
We are delighted to present Daisy McCrackin life in concert for the first time in Germany.
Daisy recorded thirteen live, acoustic songs for frequent collaborator, filmmaker Stefanie Schneider's feature film, "29 Palms." The soundtrack, "Till Death Do Us Part," marks Daisy's first musical release, and is available on CD and as a collector's piece in vinyl in Germany.

You are cordially invited to "reinforce the randomness of life" and immerse your senses into the surreal wonderland of Stefanie Schneider's photographs...
“(Stefanie's photos) reinforce the randomness of life: the frisson that happens when you pass by someone you may have met in a dream; the way relationships begin and end and the way they occasionally, miraculously, work out...She suggests that all we can do is point out basic truth, marvel at our brain’s architecture, revel in the found beauty…We can gawk at the Polaroid’s chemical burns that resemble starbursts in the day sky in the same way we can acknowledge without understanding someone’s fleeting interest in a stranger. In other words, we can relate." --James Scarborough, Frieze Magazine
